Independence Day Wishes for Colombia

On the occasion of July 20, the historic date marking the independence of the Republic of Colombia, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), on behalf of the government and people of Haiti, extends its congratulations to the Colombian people and to His Excellency President Gustavo Petro. This symbolic day is not only a reminder of the heroic struggles for freedom, but also a celebration of the values of resilience and solidarity that continue to unite the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. On this national holiday, the CPT, on behalf of the Haitian people, reiterates its wishes for peace, prosperity, and success to the brotherly people of Colombia.

200 alerts in displacement camps

In June alone, more than 200 alerts were reported in displacement sites. These alerts signal urgent problems, such as lack of water, food, shelter, or healthcare. More than 80% of these were for essential needs. These figures underscore the need to scale up humanitarian assistance to ensure the safety and dignity of displaced people living in extremely difficult conditions. However, the overall response remains severely constrained by limited funding and persistent insecurity. This hinders humanitarian access to the most affected areas and delays aid delivery.

Southeast : Permanence decreed (video)

Divisional Commissioner Magalie Belneau, Departmental Director of the Southeast Police, has declared teh permanence to ensure the security of the department. Police patrols, checkpoints, and fixed points are some of the security measures taken by the relevant authorities to control entry and exit into and out of the Southeast department, particularly through the city of Jacmel, especially at night.
