Haiti - FLASH : France sends 4 tons of equipment and materials for the PNH special units

France supports the strengthening of Haiti's security forces so that the Haitian government can regain control of security throughout its territory.

A new milestone in this support was reached this week with the delivery to Port-au-Prince of four tons of equipment and materials for the Haitian National Police's (PNH) special intervention and law enforcement units, which are engaged daily in the fight against armed criminal gangs.

This equipment delivery is complemented by training conducted by experts from the French National Police's elite intervention unit (RAID) for approximately forty officers from specialized PNH units. This training includes an operational command component for the officers of these units.

These cooperative initiatives are part of France's policy of support for the Haitian National Police, the Haitian Armed Forces, and the Multinational Security Support Mission.

This French support aims to support the Haitian government's investment in its security forces to significantly increase their numbers and equipment.
