PNH : Brazil to train 400 police officers

At the opening of the Caribbean-Brazil Summit, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva expressed his desire to mobilize the international community to develop a national development plan for Haiti. Furthermore, on the security front, Brazil will support the training of 400 Haitian National Police (PNH) officers.

Rehabilitation of the Darbouze Road

In an effort to improve the quality of life of vulnerable populations, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) has launched rehabilitation work on the Darbouze Road, located in the commune of Port-Salut. These interventions, conducted under the strict supervision of the Association of Volunteers for International Service (AVSI), an organization with recognized expertise in community support, provided 84 heads of households with employment, thereby increasing their income and contributing to their well-being.

Football : PAP City Hall Wins [3-1] over Tabarre

France : Donation of relief and clearance kits

Radhia Oudjani, Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Haiti, reports on the delivery of first aid and clearance kits to the Cavaillon Municipal Civil Protection Committee by the Institute of Technology and Animation (ITECA). The AFD's "Risk Response for Sustainable Development" (R2D2) project focuses on pre-positioning stocks for a rapid response in the event of an emergency.

Humanitarian : UN alert on the crisis in Haiti

The UN is alerting the international community to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti. The United Nations Secretariat is calling on donors to step up their assistance as the hurricane season begins. More than a million displaced people have fled their homes due to gang violence in Port-au-Prince. More than 200,000 live in precarious camps.

Registration of displaced students without a National Student Identification Number (NISU)

Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE) have been instructed to facilitate the registration of displaced students, who are deprived of their Unique Student Identification Number (NISU), said the Secretary General of the Union of Progressive Parents of Students of Haiti (UPEPH).
