The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through the Micro-Industrial Parks Management Service (SGMPI), is launching a call for expressions of interest for the selection of Micro-Industrial Parks (MPI) projects within the framework of the Integrated Business Development Program (PIDE), which aims to support local and regional projects in key sectors such as agro-industry, manufacturing and biotechnology.

The selected project leaders will benefit from technical and financial support for the establishment of infrastructure and the acquisition of equipment, with the aim of creating jobs and promoting local resources.

Through the Micro-Industrial Parks Management Service (SGMPI), the Ministry is calling for MPI projects operating in the following sectors of activity :

• Agro-industry;

• Manufacturing professions : wood and textiles, etc.;

• Services, including general mechanics and precision mechanics;

• Applied research, specifically in Biotechnology;

For those who engage with the State in the construction of an MPI, the advantages are multiple :

• The technical assistance necessary in carrying out pre-feasibility and feasibility studies;

• Support in finding funding;

• Financing of equipment, industrial buildings and infrastructure;

• Providing support for training technicians and specialized personnel;

• Support for acquiring patents and operating licenses;

• Proximity to basic public and private services;

• Support for marketing and promotion;

• Support for the adoption and compliance with standards and production norms...

The space of an MPI is considered in fact as a "specific customs territory" and the companies established there are the potential beneficiaries of the incentive advantages offered by the Haitian Investment Code.

Conditions for submitting applications :

• Private institution or for-profit organization with at least 3 years of existence;

• Project highlighting the potential of its area of ​​establishment;

• Job-generating projects with high added value;

• Project leaders with solid knowledge and experience in the sector of activity of their choice;

• Availability of land, quality/accessibility of the location;

• Potential/willingness for the installation of other companies;

• Personal contribution of the promoter;

• Market identification, security of supply;

• Profitability for producers, environmental and social impacts;

• Project networking with producers, involvement of women.

Support provided under this call for expressions of interest:

The selected companies will receive financial support for the acquisition and assembly of the materials and equipment they will need.
