South : 3 gang members killed

Three members of the "Bakòp bosal" gang operating in several municipalities in the South department, including Ducis, Chantal and Camp-Pérrin, were killed during an intervention led by the Commissioner of the Government of Miragoane Jean Ernest Muscadin on the night of Monday 6 to Tuesday 7 January 2025, in the municipality of Les Cayes. They are : Gardy Esterve, alias "Boudou Milord Fenélon alias "Pa nan rans" and Casimir Joseph.

Towards a strike in education

The platform of Haitian teachers' unions, which includes: the National Union of Normaliens and Educators of Haiti (UNNOEH), the Initiative Group of Teachers in Struggle (GIEL), the National Confederation of Haitian Educators (CNEH), the National League of Haitian Teachers (LINEH), the Network of Haitian Teachers (REEH) and the Federation of Workers in Education and Culture (FENATEC), is preparing to launch a strike call in the education sector starting Monday, January 13, 2025. The objective is to force the Government and the Ministry of National Education to respond to teachers' demands and demand better working conditions in public schools.

PoliFRONT : Intensification of patrols
