CEP : Period for the referendum and elections

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) wishes to organize the referendum on the reform of the Constitution during the month of May 2025 to subsequently carry out the general elections between November and December 2025.

Ultimatum of Jean Charles Moïse

Jean Charles Moïse, leader of the "Pitit Dessalin" Party, issues a one-week ultimatum to the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) to improve the situation. He threatens, in the event that nothing changes, to demonstrate in front of the Prime Minister's residence, to demand the replacement of the CPT by a judge of the Court of Cassation to ensure the continuation of the transition.

Nearly 11,000 new displaced persons

Important meeting of the CSPN

On Friday, January 3rd, 2025, Prime Minister Fils-Aimé chaired an important meeting of the High Council of the National Police of Haiti (CSPN). During this meeting, the Head of Government reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to intensifying the fight against armed gangs. Concrete measures have been adopted to neutralize these criminals and restore security throughout the territory. The Government remains determined to mobilize all necessary resources. The National Police will be supported in its actions and all the means of the State will be used to guarantee the security and stability essential to the development of the country.
