Haiti - FLASH : Sunrise Airways flights affected at Cap-Haitien airport 28/12/2024 08:04:50
Since the closure of Toussaint Louverture airport in Port-au-Prince on November 11, Sunrise Airways has had to transfer all of its operations to Cap-Haitien in order to maintain domestic and international connections. On December 22 and 23, adverse weather conditions forced the company to cancel several flights. This bad weather had a direct impact on the logistics and fluidity of our operations, already complicated by a fuel shortage at Cap-Haïtien airport. Furthermore, the impossibility of operating flights at Cap-Haitien airport outside of sunrise and sunset times significantly limits our operational capacities. We thank our passengers for their understanding and patience in the face of these circumstances beyond our control. Our teams are mobilizing all necessary resources to : - Ensure the rapid resumption of cancelled flights; - Provide optimal assistance to affected passengers; - Adjust our operations to minimize the impact on their travel experience.
