Sunday, December 15, 2024 in the morning, during a police operation in the Bas-Delmas and Fort National areas, the Haitian National Police (PNH) killed Kendy, alias "Jeff Mafia" the right-hand man of former police officer Jimmy Cherisier alias "Barbecue", who always accompanied him during his public appearances.

Lionel Lazarre, Deputy Spokesperson for the PNH confirmed the information and added that other members of the gang coalition "Viv Ansanm", led by "Barbacue" had also been killed in the clashes.
