Haiti - Education : Government honors national State exam laureates (list) 13/12/2024 09:45:21
On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Karibe Hotel, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, during a solemn ceremony, alongside Transitional Presidential Advisor Emmanuel Vertilaire and Augustin Antoine, Minister of National Education, honored the 8 national winners of the state exams for the 2023-2024 academic year, saluting these young talents, models of excellence and academic effort. In his speech, the Prime Minister expressed his warm congratulations to the winners and reiterated his Government's commitment to supporting these young people in pursuing their ambitions, stating: "Education is not an expense, but the most valuable investment for the future of our country." In recognition of his academic excellence and to encourage youth leadership, the Prime Minister announced the recruitment of national winner Billy Elysée Joseph within the new Youth Unit of the Prime Minister's Office. Speaking, Billy Elysée Joseph, National Laureate of the Presbyteral College "Notre-Dame de Fleurenceau", in the city of Saint-Marc, expressed his gratitude to the Government for this recognition, he also took the opportunity to thank all those who supported him in his studies, in particular his mother and father who made great sacrifices to make this success possible. List of Laureates : - Billy Wooderbens Elise Joseph, Laureate of the Laureates (baccalaureate series science, mathematics, physics); - Dave Mitchell Hadassah Limage (baccalaureate series letters languages, arts); - Emmanuel Seymour (baccalaureate series economics and social sciences); - Manderis Chavest François (baccalaureate series life and earth sciences); - Neisha Nelda Djahnai Télémaque for the 9th fundamental year; - Lousamithe Nicolas for the Normal School of Teachers and Kindergartens, fundamental section; - Stéphanie Sanon for the Teachers' and Kindergarten Teacher Training School, preschool section; - Widelene Hilaire for the Family Education Center. The laureates received various bonuses. In addition to teaching materials and gift cards offered by the cigarette company Comme il Faut, 500,000 Gourdes were given to these laureates by the National Fund for Education (FNE) to continue their studies.
