Haiti - FLASH : 4.1 earthquake off Môle Saint-Nicolas

Saturday, December 6, 2024 at 12:42 and 18 seconds, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale was recorded off Môle Saint-Nicolas (North-West Dept.).

The epicenter was located at sea at 19.66 degrees North latitude and 73.59 degrees West longitude, 27 km southwest of the city of Môle Saint-Nicolas (North-West Dept.), 28 km west of Bombardopolis (North-West Dept.), 85 km northwest of Gonâve Island (West Dept.) at a depth of 26 km.

The earthquake was not or weakly felt, hence its location at sea and its depth.

No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by the Civil Protection in relation to this earthquake.
