Fort-National attacked

Members of the criminal coalition "Viv ansanm" carried out an attack on the night of Saturday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, in the Fort-National district, particularly in Boisson Alley. Several houses were set on fire and families were forced to flee the area to take shelter.

Military : Haiti wants to buy advanced technologies

Me Camille Junior Édouard, Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office, said that the Government plans to equip law enforcement with advanced military technologies to identify the hideouts of criminals. The oldest member of Jérémie, poet and author of the collection "Poèmes de la Grand'Anse", former footballer, and coach, Maurice Léonce, passed away on Monday evening, November 4th, 2024, at the age of 103. Let us recall that in September 2024, he had a civil marriage with Marie Édith Dorestant (43 years old).

About thirty UEH students in Cuba

The Communication Unit of the University of States of Haiti (UEH) informs that a delegation of about thirty Master's students in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from UEH is carrying out a study trip in criminal toxicology at "La Universidad Agraria" in Havana (Cuba) from November 2nd to 9, 2024. They are accompanied by professors Blair CHERY, Director of Postgraduate Studies at UEH and Pierre Harry DUMORNEY, holder of the criminal toxicology course.

Chilean General Eduardo Aldunate sentenced

Retired Chilean General Eduardo Aldunate, who served as Vice Commander of the United Nations Multinational Force in Haiti, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the murder of Samuel Alfonso Catalán Linconeo (29) head of the Agrarian Reform Corporation at the time, after being arrested for his sympathies with the Communist Party and the Revolutionary Left Movement.
