The President Michel Martelly, accompanied, among others; of the First Lady, Sophia Martelly and Carline Montas, the Secretary of State for Youth and Civic Action,attended Friday night at Le Villate, in Petion-Ville, to the presentation of the play entitled "Pawòl Chouchoun."

This presentation was conducted under the patronage of the Presidency for the benefit of the student community. The presence of the Head of State to this socio-cultural activity, confirms his commitment to contribute to the total emancipation of Haitian women and and his strong interest in the revival of cultural activities in the country.

In his remarks, the President Martelly congratulated the "Atelier Théâtre et Eclosion" for the adaptation and staging of this play and praised the talent of the actresses who have offered a superb performance to hundreds of Haitian students. According to the Head of State, this this theatrical spectacle, carries lessons able to develop awareness and change attitudes towards a new conception of the society based on equality between men and women.

Aware of the problems faced by the Haitian students, the President, also announced that the Government is instructed to take necessary steps to carry out training and courses on entrepreneurship to promote the spirit of initiative among young people and women.

"The woman, it's the life and youth is the future. We must continue to provide access to education for youth and women of Haiti in order that the right for all, with equal opportunities, to build a future with dignity become a reality," believes the President of the Republic.
