Strategic discussions were initiated with Lieutenant General Derby Guerrier, Commander-in-Chief of the FAD'H, on the functioning of the army and its strengthening.

With reference to Article 136 of the Constitution (The President of the Republic, Head of State, ensures compliance with and execution of the Constitution and the stability of institutions. He ensures the regular functioning of public authorities as well as the continuity of the State), Leslie Voltaire underlined the unwavering will of the presidency for the optimal functioning of this institution and requested the specifications of the needs of the army so that the authorities at the highest level of the State can address them in view, in particular, of the security crisis situation that the Nation is experiencing.
