Haiti - FLASH : Dissolution of the CNE, all equipment transferred to the FAd’H

On Monday, September 2nd, 2014, during the Council of Ministers, the Government and the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) issued a decree on the dissolution of the National Equipment Center (CNE) and the transfer of all materials, equipment, movable and immovable property of the CNE to the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H).

Let's recall that in 2020 Nader Joiséus, the Minister of Public Works at the time had already expressed the need to abolish the CNE, which he considered a duplicate of his Ministry and which operated without an organic law...

Information that sparked strong reactions among CNE employees, who are firmly opposed to the dissolution of the CNE, worried about their professional future...

According to our sources, no CNE employees should be dismissed and that they will be reassigned to the Ministries of Public Works and Defense according to their skills.

To be continued...
