The Caribbean Pole for Cultural Training is launching its 6th call for applications for creative specialization courses in Havana (Cuba). This initiative is carried out within the framework of the UNESCO Transcultura program. The program will offer 70 scholarships to young people from the Caribbean for their participation in these courses.

The call is open to cultural professionals aged 18 to 35 and from one of the following Caribbean countries : Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.

This program will offer participants the opportunity to gain direct experience in renowned cultural training institutions and will provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to fully develop their potential as cultural professionals.

- Conservation and Restoration of Stone (from October 7 to October 18, 2024), Havana Workshop School "Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos";

- Marble, Terrazzo and Marble Mosaic (from October 7 to November 1, 2024), Havana Workshop School "Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos";

- Brick Vaults (from October 7 to November 1st, 2024), Havana Workshop School "Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos";

- Walls that Talk: Conservation and Restoration of Mural Painting (October 7 to October 18, 2024), Santa Clara College for Training in the Arts and Crafts of Restoration of Cuba and the Caribbean;

- Preservation of Digital Archives (October 14 to October 25, 2024), Santa Clara College for Training in the Arts and Crafts of Restoration of Cuba and the Caribbean;

- Design of Small Businesses in Heritage Tourism Destinations (October 14 to October 25, 2024), University College of San Gerónimo de La Habana;

- Introduction to the Management of Integrated Development of Historic Centers (October 14 to October 25, 2024), San Gerónimo de La Habana University College
