Monday July 22, 2024, Devalis Octavius ​​the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) opened a training course as part of the "Youth Social Support Program for Peace and Security" (PASOJEPS) for the benefit of 300 young people from various neighborhoods in the metropolitan area of ​​Port-au-Prince. In his intervention. She praised the commitment of young people mobilized in favor of the promotion of social peace and security, community development, awareness of citizen action.

She also emphasized the impact of this training in the implementation of effective actions of her Ministry in the neighborhoods and the mobilization of thousands of young people in the communities within the framework of this Program.

More than ten themes will be addressed during this first phase of implementation of PASOJEPS which will take place at the Magistracy School (EMA) in Frères.

Monday July 22 :

The first day of civic, socio-sporting and socio-educational training led by technicians from the Department of Physical Activities and Sports (DAPS) around the following themes:

- Importance and benefits of Physical and Sports Activities;

- Design and animation of socio-sporting sessions;

- Organization and management of a sporting event.

Tuesday July 23 :

The session was led with trainers from the Directorate of Civic Action (DAC), the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and Edupol agents around the following themes :

- First aid;

- Risk and Disaster Management;

- Civics and Citizenship;

- Police and Population (Edupol).

Wednesday July 24 :

During the third day, the Youth and Integration Department will mobilize its technicians for interventions on:

- The culture of Peace : Management - Conflict Resolution;

- The leadership ;

- Sexual and reproductive health education.

Antoine Augustin, the Minister of National Education and Marie Chantal Dumay, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the sanitation of State Institutions and the Fight against Corruption and Impunity, applauded the initiative of MJSAC and the commitment of young people, aware of their responsibilities and eager to contribute to the construction of Haiti.
