Haiti - Security : On November 18 measures will be announced
Lucien Jura, the Spokesman of the Presidency declared that measures will be announced concerning the remobilization of the army on November 18, but as the President said "there is no question of the operationalization of the army."
"...the President of the Republic said recently, we are not going towards an operationalization of the Armed Forces of Haiti on November 18, here are measures that will be announced, there is in perspective, or example, this Commission who should be appointed and a a bunch of other provisions that will be announced as from November 18.
Yes we're going towards this new defense force and of national security, at least at the level of provisions to be adopted, however, we can not aspire to have, for example, troops in the streets in uniform, NO, no, no, there will not be all that. But effectively provisions are planned for November 18 which go in the direction for this remobilisation..."
