Haiti - Politic : Working session at the MJSAC with the Ministry's unions

To follow up on the meetings initiated 4 days ago with the different structures, Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis Octavius, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) held a working session on June 20 with representatives of the Ministry’s unions.

During this session which took place with representatives of the Ministry Employees' Cluster (FE-MJSAC), in the absence of the SMJSAC Union, Ms. Octavus began by highlighting the importance of a union in the proper functioning of an institution before returning to the vision of its management of the Ministry which has executives and technicians who can work on the recovery of the institution.

Minister Octavius ​​was very attentive to the demands and proposals of FE-MJSAC representatives on :

  • The review and regularization of the signing of contracts;

  • Employee transportation;

  • Cleaning up the distribution of employee debit cards;

  • Distribution of fuel vouchers;

  • Difficulties linked to the functioning of departmental directorates;

  • The adjustment of the compensation allocated to civic action brigadiers

The Minister congratulated the work carried out by the FE-MJSAC and promised to address, methodically and progressively, the points raised by the trade unionists. It intends to improve working conditions to relaunch activities in the three sub-sectors (youth, sport and civic action) from the summer holidays with the collaboration of all employees.
