Haiti - FLASH : The Mexican Embassy in Haiti will start receiving visa applications again

Starting June 3rd, 2024, the consular section of the Mexican Embassy in Haiti will resume receiving visa or legalization requests for people who had made an appointment for the month of March or for February 7 and 8 and who could not be seen due to the suspension of consular services.

People can come with their appointment confirmation on the following dates without having to request a new appointment:

People who have confirmed an appointment for February 7, 8 and March 4 to 8 will be able to come from June 3 to 7 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

People who have confirmed an appointment from March 11 to 15 will be able to come from June 10 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

People with a confirmed appointment from March 18 to 22 will be able to come from June 17 to 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

People with a confirmed appointment from March 25 to 29 will be able to come from June 24 to 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Important considerations :

  • Only people with a migration authorization (NUT) dating back more than 5 months can request an extraordinary appointment by sending a copy of their authorization letter to the email contactoembhai@sre.gob.mx . Extraordinary appointments are subject to availability and depend on factors such as the rate of absenteeism or cancellations.

  • The rest of the users who need a visa procedure or legalization of documents must wait for the opening of new spaces through the MiConsulado appointment system on the website https://citas.sre.gob. mx . The dates on which the MiConsulado system will offer new availability of spaces to the public will be published through the social networks FB and X of the Embassy of Mexico in Haiti @EmbamexHaiti .

  • Due to the high demand for visa applications per family unit and the limited capacity with which the consular section of the Embassy continues to operate due to the state of emergency in force in Port-au-Prince , requests for group appointments to attend events in Mexico will not be considered nor will requests for extraordinary appointments for visitor visas until further notice.

The requirements for visa or legalization procedures are available for consultation in the consular section:
