South : Malaria outbreak
In response to an outbreak of malaria in 4 communes in the South department, the World Health Organization (WHO), via its PROMESS logistics platform, is supporting central health authorities for rapid distribution of essential anti-malarial products. In coordination with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) and the National Malaria Control Program, more than 4 tons of medical products were transported to the Great South and pre-positioned preventively in other departments.

Senator Rubio calls for an end to the arms embargo on the FAd’H
Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio argues in favor of reconsidering the arms embargo imposed by the United States on the Armed Force of Haiti (FAd'H) and declared "There are countries which, I think, are ready to intervene and provide them with some of the equipment that the Haitian army needs, but who are frightened by the American embargo."

Mexican Embassy closed
