Haiti - FLASH : After intense fighting, the PNH regains control of the pirated ship «Magalie» (Video)

Saturday April 6, 2024, the intervention units of the Coast Guard and the Haitian National Police (PNH) with the logistical support of the National Port Authority after more than five hours of maneuvers and intense combat, managed to regain control of the goods transport ship "Magalie" hijacked by armed men from the gangs of Village de Dieu led by "Izo" and those of Canaan led by "Jeff" on April 4.

Let's remember that this ship, which according to our information was carrying 60,000 bags of rice, was looted and the bandits allegedly took away nearly 10,000 bags of rice.

The crew and everyone on board were kidnapped during the takeover of the ship.

If the recovery of the ship was successful the crew would still be held hostage by the bandits.

During the fighting, several bandits were killed and 2 police officers injured according to the PNH.
