Haiti - Insecurity : The Association of Industries of Haiti calls for awareness

In a note dated April 2nd, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) appeals to all consistent citizens of the country to become aware.

ADIH note :

"Let’s give the country a chance !"

Haiti, the country we all love, must be built ! Let's stop destroying it !

Stop breaking, burning, kidnapping, raping, hurting, killing !

After hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, schools, businesses of all kinds, houses, faculties, universities, churches, peristyles, etc., the last criminal act of smashing, fire which took place on Friday March 29, 2024, in the Industrial Park de DIGNERON, in Croix-des-Bouquets https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-42016-icihaititextile-the-digneron-industrial-park-looted-vandalized-and-burned.html pushes the ADIH to ask all consistent citizens of the country to become aware.

These acts of destruction are additional misery that they will bring to ALL of us and to the youth who will be left to their own devices.

The association would like to recall that 2,000 workers worked in Digneron in 2022, before it stopped due to the situation of confusion and violence created by armed men in the area.

Thus, between 10,000 and 20,000 brothers and sisters, children and adults, who benefited directly or indirectly from the work in Digneron, have just been left with nothing

What we see here cannot be called Living Together, my friends !

Let's unite to end all acts of violence in all its forms in the country. Stop causing trouble, stop burning schools and universities; youth is the future of the country.

Let's stop destroying !

Let's stop all dishonest acts.

Instead, let's stay together to build."
