Haiti - Crisis : Wyclef Jean asks for help from the diaspora (Video)
Haitian Hip-hop star Wyclef Jean asked not to politicize the crisis in Haiti and called on the Haitian diaspora to participate in the solution to the crisis.

"We need to not politicize, at this time. The country needs us. It’s going to take all of us to help. Calling on the Diaspora," wrote Jean in a message on his X account where he also shared a video of an interview he did for "Wake Up America"

Jean described as "serious" the situation in Haiti marked by violence carried out by armed gangs. After the announcement of the resignation of Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41864-haiti-flash-acting-prime-minister-ariel-henry-resigns-video.html , the government seeks to form a Presidential Transitional Council.

He also considered that it was urgent to establish stability and security in Haiti affected by a serious humanitarian crisis in terms of access to food and basic services.

The upsurge in violence comes on top of rising prices for essential goods on the local market, increasing the risk of growing food insecurity in a country already mired in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
