Friday March 22nd, 2024, the Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council (CELAM), the Latin American and Caribbean Confederation of Religious (CLAR) and Caritas Latin America call for a Continental Day of Prayer "All with Haiti" to express their closeness and their solidarity "Let's join the cry of the Haitian people so that this voice is heard on earth and in heaven."

Aware that "the solution is not directly in our hands" and that it requires "the courage and determination of men and women holding national and international decision-making power," the organizers invite people to devote a day of prayer to the Haitian people on March 22nd or "Mary at the foot of the cross" continues to be celebrated in many communities.

"It is the Virgin who associates herself with the sorrows of her Son. It is Mary who cries today for her Son in front of the Haitian people crucified by poverty and violence," they emphasize. And they ask her, Mother of tenderness and mercy, for her intercession "so that the Lord straightens the paths, disposes the hearts, moves the wills, so that our brothers can soon enjoy a full life."
