The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI), through its Directorate of Legal Affairs, launched, Monday February 19, 2024, the 2nd edition of the national legal essay competition on intellectual property.

This competition is open to students in Law, Administration, Political Science and International Relations who have completed at least two (2) years in one of the universities in Haiti. Students who have been dismissed for more than three years are excluded.

A document attesting to the status of the student and/or candidate must be attached to the file.

Age limit for participation: 30 years.

The theme chosen for this edition is: “Industrial property, a tool for economic development: commercializing your ideas”.

Essays that do not comply with the submission rules will be rejected.

An acknowledgment of receipt will be sent to each candidate as well as a communication on the results of the competition.

Submission of dissertations:

Students will submit their dissertations online to the address: daj@mci.gouv.ht along with their registration form and/or submission form. The file must be saved in Word or PDF format and named CONCOURS_MCI- PI_LAST NAMA_FIRST NAME.

Awards ceremony:

The winning texts will be announced on April 26, the date of celebration of World Intellectual Property Day. The winning essay will be posted online on the MCI website.
