Haiti - FLASH : 4.3 earthquake off the coast of Gonâve Island
Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 7:48 a.m. and 5 seconds in the morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded off the coast of La Gonâve Island (West Department).
The epicenter was located at 18.79 degrees North latitude and 73.44 degrees West longitude 20 km southwest of La Gonâve Island (West Department), 53 km North-West of Miragoâne (Nippes Department ), 120 km northwest of Port-au-Prince (West Dept.) at a depth of 12 km.
No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by Civil Protection in relation to this seismic shock which was barely felt.
