Canada has announced that since December 30, 2023 it has suspended for the moment registrations for its humanitarian family program of access to permanent residence (launched in November 2023) for Colombians, Haitians and Venezuelans. The Canadian services concerned believe they have received enough applications to fill the 11,000 available places, and that they are currently evaluating the applications already submitted.

Canada specifies that it will inform if it starts accepting applications again in this program.

Let's remember that this program is open to 11,000 people with family residing in Canada (Canadian citizens or permanent residents; spouse, your common-law partner, your child, your grandchild, your parent, your grandparent or your brother or sister) willing to sponsor your application and who reside outside the province of Quebec

Please note that the applicant must plan to live in a province or territory other than Quebec, this province not participating in this Program, having its own independent program.
