Rain has been falling in several regions of the country since Monday evening due to an active cold front crossing the island, according to the Haitian Hydro Meteorological Unit. Some neighborhoods in the cities of Cap-Haitien (North) and Les Cayes (South) are flooded.

Due to the rain that has continued to fall on Cap-Haïten for 3 days, the municipal administration has taken some quick measures to guarantee everyone's safety.

The Town Hall is asking all people living in areas accustomed to heavy flooding to move quickly while there is still time. And to go to one of the temporary shelters available in the town.

The municipal administration is in contact with the civil protection team to monitor developments in the situation and inform the population.
