Haiti - Politic : The Prime Minister received official greetings from senior State officials (video speech P.M.)

Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Villa d'Acceuil, Prime Minister a.i.Ariel Henry, received official end-of-year greetings from senior State officials, in Musseau, on the occasion of the end-of-year celebrations.

Excerpts from the speech of Prime Minister a.i. Henry:

“[...] The year 2024 opens new horizons to explore. We will certainly face significant obstacles, but we must view them as opportunities for positive transformation. We are committed to strengthening transparency and accountability within our administration, improving the efficiency of services and creating an environment conducive to economic growth and the well-being of our fellow citizens.

"It is our sacred duty to ensure that the State's money that comes from the taxes paid by our citizens is used responsibly, transparently and efficiently for the good of all.

[...] I instructed the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, with the FNE's own funds, to build 20 new educational establishments in the metropolitan area aimed at housing high schools and primary schools.

[...] During the year 2024, we are initiating the process to rehouse the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with dignity and provide the Ministry of National Education with a building capable of accommodating all departments and services.

[...] The Haitian people must regain confidence in public institutions. It is important that all of you present here, as well as all those who work under your direction, develop a spirit of service to our fellow citizens. It is for them that we work. They are our bosses and we must serve them as such. This state of mind must animate us every time we deal with a taxpayer."
