Haiti - Economy : South Korea alongside Dame-Marie (Dept. Grande Anse)
20 micro business owners and members of 5 associations, particularly from the fishing and craft sectors, attended the launch of an economic recovery support program implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) thanks to funding from the South Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
This initiative is part of a component of the project "Sustainable Solutions for Internally Displaced People in the commune of Dame-Marie, mainly in the locality of Lahaie."
Sould be noted that this project, which has 2 other components, supports communities affected by Hurricane Matthew for reconstruction and sustainable economic recovery through the relocation of 100 families (construction of a village of 100 houses) living on a beach, the rehabilitation of this beach and the construction of 20 huts to facilitate the seafood trade.
