Thursday October 26, 2023, at the Montana Hotel, Acting Prime Minister Ariel Henry opened a 2-day workshop on the theme “Sexual violence in sport, a major scourge. How to recognize and prevent it ?".

This workshop is an initiative of Raymonde RIval, the Minister of Youth and Sports in partnership with the Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the United States in Haiti, Éric Stromaer

Paul Sauer, the German Ambassador to Haiti, Ms. Emelie Prohète Milcé Minister of Culture, Me Jean Tholbert Alexis, Chief of Staff of Minister Rival and the Public Protector, Me Renan Hédouville took part in the launch of this workshop.

Ms. Rival maintained that it is essential to provide national sports federations and associations with tools to guarantee our young athletes a practice of sport free from attacks and sexual abuse before welcoming the partnership with the Embassy of the States -United States which made it possible to hold this workshop.
