Wednesday October 18, 2023 in the afternoon, heavily armed men were kidnapped under threat, in Débussy (haut Turgeau), Anthony Virginy St-Pierre, the Secretary General of the High Council of the Transition (HCT).

Mirlande Manigat, President of the HCT, confirmed the kidnapping.

According to our information, 2 million dollars in ransom would be demanded by the kidnappers of the Secretary General of the HCT who would be sequestered in Village de Dieu (location unconfirmed).

The family and friends of the Secretary General appeal to the kidnappers for his unconditional release.
