Haiti - Moïse assassination : Michel Martelly answered the investigating judge's questions

Tuesday October 4th, 2023, former President Michel Joseph Martelly accompanied by his lawyers, escorted by his security agents and supported by a few dozen supporters accompanied by walking bands, appeared before the investigating judge Walter W. Voltaire to answer his questions as part of the investigation into the assassination of former president Jovenel Moïse https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34162-haiti-flash-president-jovenel-moise-assassinated-by-mercenaries-official-updated-7am-+-video.html

On the occasion of his appearance at the investigating office, a few dozen of his supporters came to support him...

Accompanied by Me Mario Delcy, one of his lawyers, they answered Judge Voltaire's questions for a little over 4 hours and were calm before and after his hearing.

On his official account "X" (formerly Twitter) Martelly wrote "In respect of the law and the judicial authority of my country, I presented myself today before Judge Walther W Voltaire as part of the investigation on the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.

While complying with the secrecy of the investigation, I took the opportunity to express to the investigating magistrate my full support for the investigation; I also expressed my strong desire that justice can find and punish the culprits of this heinous crime. "

Note that despite the numerous hearings of Judge Walter W. Voltaire (the 6th judge to hear this case since 2021), no person has been charged. Which leaves room for doubt about the capacity of the Haitian justice system to carry out this trial.
