Haiti - Elections : High-level meeting between the PM and CEP executives
Friday September 29, 2023, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, met with senior executives of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to inquire about the current situation of the electoral body. A meeting which according to the Prime Minister "strongly reflects the determination and commitment of the Government to organize, as soon as possible, honest, transparent and democratic elections at the end of which will emerge, among other things, a legitimate government elected by the Haitian people."

The meeting, which took place in a climate of serenity and mutual trust.

On the agenda of this meeting, the different stages of the electoral process and the difficulties and challenges faced by senior executives of the CEP. On this last point, Henry pledged to provide them with all the necessary means for the smooth running of the electoral process.

At the end of this meeting, the parties agreed to work together and mobilize all energies to bring the electoral process to a successful conclusion.
