Haiti - Cap-Haitien : End of energy problems at the International Airport

The International Airport of Cap-Haitien (AICH) informs of the resolution of the energy problems which persisted for nearly a decade thanks to the efforts of the General Directorate of the National Airport Authority (AAN).

Investments in the development and autonomy of provincial airports, in particular that of Cap-Haitien, have enabled the construction of a new production center with a capacity of 650 kW, as well as the repair of the internal electric distribution grid. The estimated cost of this work amount to several hundred thousand dollars.

The measures taken to solve these energy problems include the installation of a new generator of 650 Kw, as well as the installation of 9 poles, 9 transformers and a back-up system has been built with a group of 250 Kw .

Cap-Haitien International Airport wishes to salute the combined efforts of the Operations Department and the Equipment Department of the AAN, as well as its Provincial Airports Coordination Unit (UCAP) for their significant contribution to the resolution of these energy problems. Thanks to their hard work and determination, AICH passengers, users and staff will now benefit from a stable and reliable power supply.
