Haiti - Football : Under performance of Grenadiers against Curacao (2-2)
After a victory at home against the U.S. Virgin Islands with a score of 6-0, on September 2, at the Stade Sylvio Cator, then last Friday Curaçao 4-2 at the stadium rgilio Hato to Willemstad, Curaçao, and finally the U.S. Virgin Islands at the stadium Paul E. Joseph to St. Croix, with a score of 7-0, the men's national football team, the Grenadiers, has faced yesterday the team of Curaçao at the Stade Sylvio Cator, as part of the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the CONCACAF zone, the match ended in a draw 2-2 before less than 7.000 spectators and despite the presence of their first support, the President Michel Martelly.

Starting composition
Stewart Céus (goalkeeper), Réginal Goreux (defender), Kim Jaggy (defender), Jean-Jacques Pierre (defender), Frantz Bertin (defender), Peterson Joseph (midfielder), Judelin Aveska (midfielder)(C), Jean Sony Alcénat (midfielder), Hérold Charles (midfielder), Jean Eudes Maurice (forward), Kervins Belfort (forward).

We had to wait until the 60' to get the equalizer goal (2-2) by Jean Jacques Pierre, a headed goal, following a free kick from team captain of Tempête FC, Hérold Junior Charles. Despite all the efforts made, the Grenadiers were unable to defeat its opponent.

  • Curacao - Haiti : 2-4
  • U.S. Virgin Islands - Haiti : 0-7


Haiti second of group F
Currently within the Group F Haiti has 10 points with a goal difference of +15 preceded of Antigua-et-Barbuda which has 12 points with a goal difference of +21. This change is due to the victory yesterday of Antigua and Barbuda against the U.S. Virgin Islands 10-0 !

Group F is composed of Haiti, Antigua and Barbuda, Curacao, U.S. Virgin Islands. The winning team from each group will have access the third round, if Haiti is the winner of Group F, the Grenadiers will face the United States, Jamaica and the winner of Group E which can be either Grenada, Guatemala, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines or the Belize.

Next matches
On November 15 the Grenadiers Antigua and Barbuda, on 15 November will take place the last game of the second round, Haiti will play at home with Antigua and Barbuda.

The Grenadiers will have to be at their best to win the next two games that are against Antigua and Barbuda.
