Today, the fragility and vulnerability of the country greatly influences the conditions in which institutions operate in Haiti, including the State University of Haiti (UEH), which is facing academic loss particularly linked to migration of several teachers.

To ensure the academic succession at the UEH, the State University of Haiti supported by KAIROS is setting up a master's program in University Teaching in order to train new teachers.

This program would take place in a hybrid way (distance and face-to-face) in Haiti, with the possibility that students stay for a semester in a Latin American or other university.

The objectives of this Master are the following :

1 - Train high-level executives, capable both of replacing absent human resources and of using teaching tools;

2 - Train new teachers through the scholarships offered and prepare as much as possible for their professional integration, if this has not yet been done;

3- Replace absent teachers in order to strengthen the teaching staff.

Profile of candidates:

Prerequisites:

- Candidates for teaching have a basic level in Spanish, an approach ensuring their mastery of the subjects/content to be taught, either through initial training or through a selection of candidates already trained in these subjects/content;

- Training in the practical application of this knowledge in education;

- Ready to take online courses;

Can join the Master in University Education:

- UEH teachers or people interested in joining the UEH teaching career;

- Holders of a license or an equivalent diploma in the fields of knowledge existing at the UEH or planned for the establishment of new courses;

- Teacher Assistants and young teachers

Course start date: October 2023

Duration of the Master: Two years

Deadline for admissibility of application files: until Friday, July 14, 2023

After pre-selection of the files, only the selected candidates will be called for an interview.
