Tuesday, June 27, 2023, as part of the ceremony to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the creation of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA), Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry took the opportunity to pay tribute to this institution republican, as well as at work, in the sense of service of the nine advisers and of all those who help them accomplish their mission.

Excerpts from Ariel Henry's speech :

"This 200th anniversary celebration should be an opportunity for the institution to review its most important results and achievements over the two centuries of its existence and to recall the milestones that will mark the next chapters of its journey and the challenges it faces today and tomorrow.

[...] I have come to invite you to break with the habits, behaviors and routines of the past. I have come to invite you to dare to carry out reforms, to innovate, to remake the State the lever of change, through the consolidation of accounts and fair administrative justice.

The mission of the CSC/CA is to ensure that citizens' confidence in the State is preserved. This mission is to enforce an ethic, a republican ethic, an ethic of public service.

[...] Public money is community money. It's the hard-earned money of everyone's work, effort, pain. This money is the sacrifice that is imposed on each taxpayer so that the Republic can live.

Public money, that of the people, that of the nation, is sacred because the needs are always greater than the resources. There is too much distress, too much suffering to relieve [...]"
