Total suspected cases: 46,045 cases +69 in 24 hours, the day before +141 in 24 hours

Total confirmed cases*: 2,835 cases +0 in 24 hours, previous +0 in 24 hours

Total hospitalized cases (suspected and confirmed): 40,267 cases +63 in 24 hours

Total deaths: 801 deaths ((474 institutional (+2) and 232 community (+3)) +5, previous +2

Partial assessment of cholera in Haiti according to data from the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).

*No updates from tests performed in the last 4 days

Distribution of suspected cases, total since October 3:

Less than 1 year: 1,071 cases (+1)

1-4 years: 9,177 cases (+16)

5-9 years: 6,629 cases (+16)

10-14 years old: 3,305 cases (+4)

15-19 years old: 2,427 cases (+7)

20-29 years old: 5,923 cases (+5)

30-39 years old: 5,059 cases (+4)

40-49 years old: 3,758 cases (+9)

50-59 years old: 2,833 cases (+1)

60-69 years old: 2,001 cases (+4)

70-79 years old: 1,161 cases (+2)

80 years and over: 473 cases (+0)

Men: 54.34% men (=); Women 45.66 =)

Positivity rate by age segment:

Definitions:

Suspected cases:

Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration

Confirmed case:

Any suspected case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae” or presenting an epidemiological link with a confirmed case of cholera

Hospitalized case:

Any suspected or confirmed case that spends at least 24 hours in a care centre

Institutional death:

Any suspected or confirmed case who dies in a treatment center.

Community death:

Any suspected case that dies outside of a caring institution.
