Haiti - Basketball : Maxime Antoine's team champion of the men's 5x5 basketball tournament

Saturday, May 27, 2023 ended the 1st edition of the 5 × 5 men's basketball tournament under 18, tournament of 8 teams, divided into two groups, organized by the Haitian Basketball Federation (FHB).

The team of Maxime Antoine (school of basketball Maxime Antoine) won the competition by beating in the final on the ground of the Barbancourt Foundation, in Blanchard, the Barbancourt Foundation with a score of 85-47.

Taking into account the performances of these two teams in previous matches, this final was considered a clash at the top, it is worth pointing out that Maxime Antoine's men severely broke the competition and dominated the game.

Thanks to ultra-offensive play and intense pressure, Pierre Ernso, the best player in the championship, and his teammates managed to master the match, showing their collective sense. The Maxime Antoine team played a match based on aggressiveness, rapid transition and fighting spirit.

During this final, Samy Similien, the #14 of Maxime Antoine was the best scorer of the match by scoring 24 points. Dor Chenel the #10 from the Barbancourt Foundation scored 21 points, while Moïse Doobensky from the Barbancourt Foundation finished as the tournament's top scorer.

The Barbancourt Foundation won in the semi-final against the Saint Louis Gonzague institution, while Maxime Antoine's team beat Team Christ-Roi in the semi-final.
