Haiti - Health : Celebration of World Health Day (Video PM speech)

Friday April 14, 2023, at the Hotel Montana, Alex Larsen, the Minister of Public Health, accompanied in particular by Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry and Dr. Maureen Birmingham, Representative of the Pan American Health Organization and the World Organization of Health (PAHO/WHO in Haiti). celebrated World Health Day.

In his speech, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry stressed "[...] In order to achieve health for all, political stability and social peace are major determinants on which we must act. […]

My Government will prioritize all health interventions aimed at strengthening the base of the health pyramid: the primary level of care, the secondary and tertiary levels. Local care, management, coordination and supervision structures will also be taken into account […]”

Speech by Prime Minister a.i. Henry :

For her part, Dr Maureen Birmingham paid a vibrant tribute to all the health personnel who were victims of the country's instability.
