Total confirmed cases: 2.505 cases +10 (0.04%), previous +0

Total suspected and confirmed hospitalized cases: 32,132 cases +508 in 48 hours (+1.60%), previous +7 in 24 hours

Total deaths: 624 deaths ((412 institutional (+23) and 212 community (+7)) +30 (5.0%), previous: +0

Partial assessment of cholera in Haiti according to data from the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).

1-4 years: 7,421 cases (+195)

5-9 years: 5,442 cases (+82)

10-14 years old: 2,650 cases (+47)

50-59 years old: 2,338 cases (+27)

Definitions:

Suspected cases:

Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration

Confirmed case:

Any suspected case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae” or presenting an epidemiological link with a confirmed case of cholera

Hospitalized case:

Any suspected or confirmed case that spends at least 24 hours in a care centre

Institutional death:

Any suspected or confirmed case who dies in a treatment center.

Community death:

Any suspected case that dies outside of a caring institution.
