Haiti - FLASH : The Government officially appealed on the Armed Forces of Haiti (Video)

Friday, March 17, 2023, the Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, accompanied by several Ministers, visited the Armed Forces of Haiti, at the Military Aviation site, to inform them that in these times when the fight against insecurity is the priority number 1, the Government intended to mobilize all its forces to restore security.

In his speech, Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry officially appealed to the Armed Forces of Haiti to come in support of the National Police in its fight against armed gangs.

"The duty of the Government is to ensure the safety of citizens, so that economic, political and social activities can be exercised freely, so that children can go to school without fear

[...]

Today, we need all our security forces. We need the determination that resided in the indigenous army. We need the conjunction of all energies: the energy of the Police and all its specialized units, the energy of the Army and the collaboration of a united Haitian people, in order to put an end to the criminal acts which are perpetrated on the population.

[...]

Officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, are you ready to join this fight against insecurity ?

Are you ready to work hand in hand with the police forces in the fight against insecurity ?

Are you ready to serve your country while respecting the rights of all ?

[...]"

However, the Head of Government, for strategic reasons, did not specify when the army and how many soldiers will be deployed and their roles. According to the Associated Press, officials at the Ministry of Defense are working on plans to involve the FAd'H...

Speech by Prime Minister Ariel Henry :

Let's recall that the Fad'H currently has about 2,000 soldiers trained by experts in Argentina, Mexico and Colombia.
