Valerie Amos, the United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, will be in Haiti on September 28 and 29, 2011 to review the humanitarian situation and assistance being provided to people affected by the January 2010 earthquake and the cholera epidemic.

In Port-au-Prince, Ms. Amos is scheduled to meet internally displaced communities, President Michel Martelly, and key humanitarian officials, including the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Haiti, Nigel Fisher.
