Haiti - PNH : Balance sheet in figures for January mid-February 2023 (Video)

Divisional Inspector Gary Desrosiers Spokesperson for the National Police of Haiti (PNH) presented a report on the operations carried out from January to mid-February 2023.

A total of 369 individuals were arrested for drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery, rape of a minor, rape, homicide, murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

Among those arrested are :

Kervens Jean Simon and Wilkens Louis for their alleged involvement in the assassination of former senator Yvon Buissereth and his driver on August 6, 2022 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37341-haiti-flash-former-senator-buissereth-director-general-of-eppls-assassinated-then-burned-in-his-vehicle.html

As part of Operation Tornado, 16 bandits were fatally injured following exchanges of fire with the police. 153 kilos of marijuana were seized, 24 firearms, ammunition and a dozen vehicles confiscated.
