Note of sympathy from FAd’H

"The Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), while deploring the events that have taken place in recent days in the country, causing the death of police officers fallen on the battlefield, sympathize with the pain of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) as well as that of their families. They take this opportunity to bring all their solidarity to the PNH while waiting to receive from the authorities the means and materials necessary to more effectively assist the Police Institution to solve the problem of banditry which plagues the country and prevents the population from going about its activities freely."

"An international force in Haiti is inevitable"

Friday in Santiago, the former Dominican President Léonel Fernandez declared that the deployment of an international force in Haiti is inevitable considering "[...] the collapse of the Haitian State will not be able on its own to restore order."

Anti-gang fight : El Salvador will open an office in PAP

Vice-President of El Salvador Félix Ulloa announced this week "El Salvador will help Haiti, by setting up a cooperation office in Port-au-Prince, with the objective of reducing high crime rates". "The Organization of American States (OAS) presents its condolences to the families, to the National Police of Haiti (PNH), and to all the brave colleagues of these valiant police officers, whom the bandits killed in the commune of Liancourt. Need for social projects in the North

During a meeting with the Administrative Councilors of the Communal Section (CASEC) and community leaders from the North, the Ministers Luz Kurta Cassandra François (tourism) and Michel Patrick Boisvert (Economy and Finance) mentioned the need for the Government to land with social projects in the area as part of the strategy to ensure the survival of the project to operate the tourist port of Labadee.
