Haiti - Economy : Eddy Labossière little optimistic about economic perspectives

This week, economists of International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported that the global growth could be limited to 4%. They explain that if the United States and Europe fail to meet their commitments, there is a risk of recession, which could produce a domino effect on other economies.

The economist Eddie Labossière, President of the Association of Haitian Economists (AEH), shows little optimistic about the global economic situation, saying it is an unfavorable situation for Haiti, which has very few alternatives, that the funding from abroad, for its development.

He considered abnormal, that more than 60% of the state budget comes from abroad and invites the country's economic actors in a national dialogue to present problems of the country and find solutions to remove the country of the difficult situation in which it is.

The Haitian Economist said that he expects no significant economic benefits from the participation of the Head of State in the 66th UN General Assembly, held in New York "Given the global economic situation, it is not obvious r the Head of the State to obtain an increase in aid and more investment from abroad."
