Haiti - Education : Monitoring of the trafficking of false candidate cards (bac 2021-2022)
The Ministry of National Education informs that it has appointed Aurélien Fritzner as the new Departmental Director a.i. in the Artibonite and set up a Commission to improve the management of State exams in the Artibonite department. This Commission is composed of 3 members who are part of the Ministry in the department.
This decision comes after the report of the General Inspectorate of the Administration of National Education and Vocational Training (IGAENFP) of the Ministry, which was in charge of the investigation into the case of delivery of false cards of candidates to several Directors of private schools, allowing students to illegally participate in the official 2021-2022 baccalaureate exams in the Artibonite department.
The Ministry is awaiting the results of the investigation to know the whole truth about the case.
The Ministry recalls that the Permit to direct and teach of several school principals, who would be involved in this case, have been temporarily canceled until another decision is rendered on this subject. Among the directors of these schools, there are those who were arrested and imprisoned, after the complaints filed by officials of the Departmental Directorate of Education of Artibonite against these school directors.
