"On the occasion of the new year 2023, Luc Garvey Jean Pierre the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Haiti in the Dominican Republic, on behalf of the Government of the Republic and on behalf of the staff of the Embassy present to the members of the Haitian community established in the Dominican Republic, its best wishes for peace, happiness, success and prosperity.

In this new year of grace, we will deploy all our efforts and do everything possible to improve and intensify our good relations with the Haitian community. Thus, we hope to provide our compatriots with a National Identification Card through an active campaign so that they can participate in the next elections in Haiti and freely elect their future leaders.

We also reaffirm our commitment to work for the protection of our nationals in compliance with international conventions as well as the laws and regulations of the neighboring country.

May the new year give birth to a stable Haiti and see the normalization of Haitian-Dominican relations.
