Thursday, January 5, 2023, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) inaugurated the new premises of the sub-police station of Desarmes section communale de Verrettes (Artibonite Dept.) and installed a new police team, after 13 years without a police presence.

The Departmental Director of Artibonite who represented the Director General Frantz Elbé congratulated and thanked the Civil Society of Desarmes for its support, which made 2 drones and other equipment available to the sub-commissioner so that the police can better act against bandits and protect the population.

The reopening of the Deputy Commissioner of Desarmes is part of the strategy of the Director General of Police to cover all the territorial spaces occupied by bandits for lack of police officers.
